I’m Alison, an epidemiologist, professor and mother to two teenagers. I’m also a suicide widow. For years, I lived quietly in the shadows, secretly supporting my husband, Andy, through severe mental illness, all while trying to keep the appearance of having it all together. Then, my world unraveled when Andy gave up the fight, no longer able to see the light. There are no roadmaps for navigating the loss of a partner to suicide, but I'm leaving a record of where I've been. Join me on my path, as I continue to try to figure it all out, one day at a time.
